mediven® struva® 23 compression stockings

Mediven struva 23 compression stockings provide 23 mmHg of pressure at the ankle and are intended for compression therapy following sclerotherapy, thermal ablation, and surgical procedures on the veins of the lower extremities. They are also used for the prevention of venous thrombosis and venous thromboembolic complications (VTE) in hospital settings for patients with a moderate to high risk of VTE.

Indications for use:

The need for compression therapy after

• phlebosclerosis

• thermal ablation,

• surgical interventions on the veins of the lower extremities.

Prevention of venous thrombosis and venous thromboembolic complications (VTE) in a hospital setting for patients with a low to moderate risk of VTE

• in ambulatory patients before, during, and after surgery,

• before, during, and after childbirth,

• with a history of deep vein thrombosis,

• in immobile patients with venous pathology of the lower extremities.

Contraindications:

• Chronic obliterating diseases of the lower limb arteries, when the regional systolic pressure in the posterior tibial artery is below 80 mm Hg;

• Severe forms of diabetic polyneuropathy and angiopathy;

• Decompensated cardiopulmonary failure;

• Massive edema of the lower limb;

• Trophic ulcers of non-venous etiology;

• Acute soft tissue infection.

The two-way-stretch technology ensures high elasticity of the knit in two directions and facilitates the putting-on process. The porous knit structure is responsible for proper thermoregulation and the skin's water balance. Thanks to the silicone-based top band, the product is securely fixed on the leg. The donning and sizing indicator on the top band helps prevent constriction of the limb and impairment of venous outflow. The compression level is marked on the product's top band, which helps prevent errors in selecting the knitwear.
