mediven® ulcer refill medical compression stockings with pure silver threads for the treatment of venous ulcers

mediven® ulcer kit consists of a set of two types of compression stockings for the prevention of venous leg ulcer recurrence. One pair of mediven ulcer stockings with an ankle pressure of 20 mmHg provides round-the-clock compression. Elemental silver integrated into the yarn structure neutralizes a wide range of microbes for a long time. One mediven ulcer plus stocking, also with a pressure of 20 mmHg, is worn over the mediven ulcer stocking and is used during the day when the patient is active. This increases the pressure level at the ankle to 40 mmHg. This level of compression and usage regimen are optimal for preventing the recurrence of venous ulcers.

Indications for use:

• Prevention of recurrence of venous leg ulcers

Absolute contraindications:

• Chronic obliterating diseases of the lower limb arteries (regional systolic pressure in the posterior tibial artery below 80 mmHg);
• Severe forms of diabetic polyneuropathy and angiopathy;
• Decompensated cardiopulmonary failure;
• Trophic ulcers of non-venous etiology;
• Acute soft tissue infection;
• Septic phlebitis.

Relative contraindications:

• Individual intolerance to the material;
• Sensory disturbance.

The knit fabric stretches well in both longitudinal and transverse directions, which allows for proper distribution of the garment on the leg and prevents the formation of wrinkles. Special knitting technologies maintain optimal moisture and temperature balance. Elemental silver in the structure of the threads provides antibacterial and antifungal effects in the toe area and combats the development of unpleasant odors.

Material composition of mediven ulcer plus:

• Polyamide — 75%;
• Elastane — 25%.

Material composition of mediven ulcer:

• Polyamide 73%;
• Elastane 27%;

Sock for easier putting on — 100% polyester.

Completeness:

The kit includes two types of compression stockings: one pair (two stockings) of white mediven ulcer stockings with a closed toe and one beige mediven ulcer plus stocking with an open toe. The kit is intended for use on one leg.

Care instructions:

The white mediven ulcer liners are machine washable (hot wash up to 95°C) and suitable for tumble drying. The beige mediven ulcer plus stocking is machine washable (delicate cycle at 40°C) and suitable for tumble drying.
