Description
Mediven thrombexin 18 compression stockings are designed for the prevention of venous thrombosis and venous thromboembolic complications (VTEC) in hospital settings for patients with a low to moderate risk of VTEC. The calibrated pressure of 18 mmHg at the ankle and the medical compression profile ensure a high level of protection and prevention, while providing comfort during use.

Indications for use:
Prevention of venous thrombosis and venous thromboembolic complications (VTE) in a hospital setting- before, during, and after the operation,
- before, during, and after childbirth,
- in sedentary, elderly, and debilitated patients.
Contraindications:
- Chronic obliterating diseases of the lower limb arteries (regional systolic pressure in the posterior tibial artery below 80 mm Hg);
- Severe forms of diabetic polyneuropathy and angiopathy;
- Decompensated cardiopulmonary failure;
- Massive edema of the lower limb;
- Trophic ulcers of non-venous etiology;
- Acute soft tissue infection.
